General information

AJVS adheres to the highest standards concerning its editorial policies on publication ethics, scientific misconduct, consent, and peer review criteria.

Our journal follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) principles, which provides guidelines for publishers and editors of scientific journals to discuss issues relating to the integrity of the work submitted to or published in their journals.

Original articles, short communications, case reports, scientific reviews, and mini reviews are subject to peer review; other items are published at the discretion of the Editorial Committee. Submissions are accepted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere and that they are subject to editorial revision. Please visit Instructions for Authors for further information on writing and formatting your research.

Continuous publication model

The continuous publication approach enables the journal's staff to release articles as soon as they are finalised, thus providing authors and their work with extended exposure and allowing for flexible publication dates.

Contributions to the Cost of Publishing (CCPs)

The editorial process is partially funded by the Contributions to the Cost of Publishing (CCPs) which are charged to authors, institutions, funding bodies, or other sources by the Universidad Austral de Chile, in accordance with the Statement on the use of CCPs in the SciELO Network.
